The weather was miserable all day today.  It was relentless rain, which made everything soggy, wet and very muddy!


We tried out a 30metre steel tape (which was a very thin gauge) to set out rather than a fabric one.  We were curious to compare how much give there was in the fabric tapes compared to a steel one.  However with all the mud it got very gritty and stiff as it was continually unwound and wound back up.  Probably not the best day for its debut.  Hopefully, it will recover and make it through to see another day!
