Some of the larger cracks and what we think are salts brought to the surface by the cold weather.
If anyone has experience of clay render they can share with us, we would be very interested to listen...

Just a little comment from across the world (I'm in Australia) to say "Thanks for the blog and good on you for all your hard work!"
We are at the beginning of our straw bale build and even just getting this far has taught me this: Every build has it's hard moments! So don't be too disappointed about the render. I've not checked on your blog for a few weeks and can see all the progress you've made.
